It has been 2 – 3 weeks since I last blogged and I guess that can be either a good thing or a bad thing. In my case it is because the past 3 weeks have been relatively quiet in the Mann household. I started a new part-time job on January 9th and that is going pretty well to-date. Mo continues to work 3 days per week, 10-hours per shift. We continue to see and watch the Cleveland area grandkids and that is always fun and energizing (and tiring at times). We had Alta and Mather overnite this past Sunday … Maureen has been cleaning out closets in the kids bedrooms and found Ashley’s doll house when she was little. She surprised Alta with it Sunday nite and they had fun putting it together and playing house. Monday morning it was my turn and there was a lot of house playing … all the time Mather played with the I-Pad and he, being only 2, is quite the wiz on it.
Saturday evening we attended a party at the Darkoch’s new cluster home in Westlake. They had been looking at this development for years and finally made the move this past Memorial Day weekend. The home is beautiful with 2400 sq ft on the first floor and 2400 sq ft of finished basement area. The party was fun with catching up with current and old neighbors such as the Kalski’s, Leegan’s, Callahan’s, Karis’s, and the Koehler’s. I had not seen the Koehler’s since they moved out of our neighborhood in 2002 to a cluster home in Avon. A very nice evening!!!
Other than that I am very happy it is February … I have always viewed February as the last real winter month and the fact it is always 28 or 29 days long is also a positive thing. I then see the month of March as one of a mixed bag … one of nice days and one of wintery days. So there is light at the end of the tunnel, weather-wise, and yesterday’s high of 60 degrees also helps!
February is also the month of two family members birthdays …. Maggie turns 7 on the 10th and Mitchell turns ??? on the 20th. So there is my update … short, sweet, and my wish is to keep smiling, be happy and positive and forward looking. Life is great.
